Role Summary

As Head of Accounting you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. In this role, you will have personnel responsibility for two Accounting Economists and report directly to the CFO. You work closely with the Head of Business Controlling to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accoutning principles.
  • Liaise with our CFO to improve financial procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Swedish being highly advantageous.
